Reese to Host House Majority Policy Committee Public Hearing on Coal Industry Issues

WHAT: Rep. Mike Reese (R-Fayette/Westmoreland) and the House Majority Policy Committee will conduct a public hearing on Pennsylvania’s coal-fired power plants, the coal industry and the impact of current environmental regulations on these entities.

Dave Reed (R-Indiana), chairman of the Majority Policy Committee; committee members; Ed Yankovich, International District vice president for District 2 of the United Mine Workers Association of America; Eugene Trisko, consultant with the American Coalition for Clean Coal Electricity; John Pippy, chief executive officer for the Pennsylvania Coal Alliance; Robert T. Whalen, president of System Local 102, Utility Workers Union of America; Carl Wood, director of regulatory affairs for the Utility Workers Union of America; Mike Welsh, international representative for the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers; and Doug Biden, president of the Electric Power Generation Association.
