House Committee to Consider Emrick, Reese Solutions to Flawed School Funding Formulas

WHAT:           The House Education Committee, chaired by state Rep. Paul Clymer (R-Bucks), will hold a public hearing to examine House bills 618 and 759, legislation which addresses waste of taxpayer dollars through flawed charter and cyber charter school funding formulas. House Bill 618 alone is estimated to save school districts across the Commonwealth $510 million dollars over the next five years. 

WHO:             Testifiers include the bill sponsors, state Reps. Joe Emrick (R-Northampton) and Mike Reese (R-Fayette/Westmoreland). 

WHEN:           Thursday, March 14, 10 a.m. 

WHERE:        Room 140, State Capitol, Harrisburg
