Reese Participates in Annual Second Amendment Rally

Invites participation in Second Amendment survey at

Standing in support of the constitutional right to keep and bear arms, Rep. Mike Reese (R-Fayette/Westmoreland) today participated in the annual Second Amendment Rally at the State Capitol in Harrisburg.

“There is nothing more fundamental in our Commonwealth and nation than the right to keep and bear arms in defense of ourselves and our property,” said Reese. “I was pleased to see such a large turnout as we continue to be aware of the threats that some people make these days to try and take away that right. Not only are we defending the Second Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, but in our own Pennsylvania Constitution, the right is clearly spelled out in Article 1, Section 21 that the rights of the citizens to bear arms in defense of themselves and the state shall not be questioned.”

Reese was joined by many House and Senate colleagues, and the speakers included National Rifle Association Executive Vice-President Wayne LaPierre; former Texas state legislator, Right-To-Carry Law pioneer and best-selling author Suzanna Hupp; Gun Owners of America Executive Director Larry Pratt and Firearms Owners Against Crime Chairman Kim Stolfer.

Reese is also conducting a survey on the Second Amendment issue on his website,

“I invite you to take part in my short survey, so that I can hear your opinions and issues dealing with the Second Amendment,” said Reese. “Please visit my website to take part in that survey, and I am always glad to hear your thoughts and concerns in person as well.”
