Reese Announces Second Annual Children’s Day Event

Rep. Mike Reese (R-Fayette/Westmoreland) today announced his Children’s Day celebration will take place from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 5, at Donohoe Center, 214 Donohoe Road in Greensburg. The event is cosponsored by the Westmoreland County Farm Bureau and Classic Hits 107.1 WHJB Radio.

“I would like to invite kids and parents to my Children’s Day event, which will have something fun for everyone,” said Reese.  “Admission is free and we will have a variety of activities for the whole family.”

The second annual Children’s Day will feature the popular “Guitar Hero” game. There will be two fully-networked sets using a full home-theatre experience that will enable bands to compete against each other. The display is made possible by Best Buy.

Exhibitors from the district and various parts of the Commonwealth will be on hand.  Among them are:

Holy Trinity High Flyers jump rope team demonstrations.

Mobile Ag Lab with hands-on experiments in Pennsylvania agriculture.

Westmoreland County Penn State Extension.

Westmoreland County 4-H program.

Adams Memorial Library Bookmobile.

Saint Vincent College Prevention Projects.
